WHAT IS GAP COVERAGE?
Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) coverage is a voluntary program offered as protection on a new, used, or refinanced car, truck, SUV, motorcycle, RV, or boat. If your vehicle is stolen or declared totaled, your auto insurance company will only pay you the actual cash value of the vehicle at the time it was totaled and you are left to pay the difference. That's where GAP kicks in and pays the difference, or "gap", that you still owe on your loan.
WHAT IS THE “PLUS”?
The “PLUS” is an additional benefit of $1,000 towards your next vehicle loan at Millstream Area Credit Union if financed within 90 days of the GAP claim settlement.
WHAT IS THE COMPLIMENTARY AUTO DEDUCTIBLE REIMBURSEMENT?
As a Thank You for purchasing GAP PLUS coverage, you also receive enrollment in the Auto Advantage Program which reimburses up to $500 per loss (UNLIMITED losses per year) when a loss is filed and paid by the auto insurance company. The enrollment period is for three years and it applies to any vehicle for which the Member is on the title or registration AND is designated as a Named Insured on an auto insurance policy.
